New Beginnings

Hi again!  Can you believe it?  I've managed to create another card and even found the time to sit at the computer and post it!  It was such a gorgeous Saturday!  Sunny and 80 - just perfect!  Hope it stays this way for the rest of the long weekend!

Here is the card I created:

My card base and mats are SU Baja Breeze and the patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dolled Up 6x6 pad.  The sweet image is New Beginnings from Elisabeth Bell for Sweet Pea Stamps.  I stamped her on Make it Colour Blending Card and colored her with my Copics.  I also colored in a sky and grass with my Copics.  I added a few highlights with my Sharpie White Paint Pen and Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen.   I used Spellbinders Lacey Circles and a Lacey Square Die for the background.  The sentiment is from Create With TLC.  Some lace and a few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers finished my card.

Here is a close-up of the image:

I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday #207 (sketch)
One Sweet Challenge May (Spring colors)

Copic/ProMarker Challenge - The Outlawz

Good morning!  Happy Friday!  The weekend is nearly here and for those in the US, it's Memorial Day weekend with an extra day off!  Hope you've had a good week and you have fun plans for the weekend! I've got a lot going on today, so I'll make my post brief.  I am here to share my DT card for this week's Copic/ProMarker Challenge at The Outlawz site.  The theme this week is "one layer cards".  We want to see images colored on the card base or no more than one layer above the card base.  Don't forget that there must be coloring with alcohol markers (any brand).

Here is my card:

This was a really hard challenge for me!  As you know, I love my patterned papers and layers and I rarely go the CAS route with my cards.  The image and sentiment are from the Write, Paint, Create set by 2 Cute Ink for Whimsy Stamps.  Heidi, from 2 Cute Ink, is sponsoring our challenges for the month of May.  I stamped the image and sentiment directly on the card base of XPress-It Card and colored the image with my Copics. I added some Fruit Punch Stickles to the pool of paint and tip of the paintbrush for a little sparkle.  That is it!  Clean and simple - lol!

Here is a close-up of the image:

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to visit the Copic/ProMarker Challenge and check out the fantastic CAS creations from the rest of the DT!  They do this style far better than me, as you will see!  We hope you will play along!  As I mentioned, our May challenges are being sponsored by 2 Cute Ink.  One randomly-selected participant in this month's challenges will win three digistamps of their choice from Heidi's 2 Cute Ink store.  There are also lots of site-wide prizes up for grabs when you enter the challenges at The Outlawz!

I am entering my card in the following challenge:
Sentimental Sundays #155 (clean and simple with a sentiment on front)

Have a great day and weekend and see you soon!

Style Is Eternal

Hello.  It's the end of the weekend and the first chance I've had to create anything new.  Sorry that I haven't visited either.  I am still trying to catch up when I can.  I am popping in quickly to share a card I made to preview a beautiful new set in Paulette's Create With TLC store.

And here is my creation using this set:

My card base and mats are SU Soft Sky and the patterned papers are from the Basic Grey Serenade 6x6 pad. I printed the vintage collage on X-Press It Card and colored it with my Copics.  The sentiment is also from Create With TLC.  It is from the Retail Therapy set in Paulette's store here.  Some vintage lace and a few mulberry paper roses from my stash finished my card.

Here is a close-up:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to be catching up on my blogging tomorrow, so see you soon!
